The Best Way to Showcase a 21st Birthday Slideshow

Are you wanting to create a 21st Birthday Slideshow presentation for your son or daughter?

This post will give you some ideas in choosing photos and videos to inspire their journey into adulthood. At 21, your young adult does not want to know how cute they were as kids.

Instead they will want to know,

  • How were they as a young child; and
  • What did they like to do; and
  • What were their achievements; and
  • How did they achieve it; and
  • How did it make them feel.

Showcasing their achievements through the years, will propel them into realizing that the world is their oyster, but more importantly that nothing is impossible to achieve.

5 Important Events to include in a 21st Birthday Slideshow Presentation

  1. Sports Activities and Achievements

IMG_7038For my son, he is eagerly awaiting the day he gets his black belt in Taekwondo which he has been training since he was 5 years old. By no means is he interested in sports or competition but he eyes that black belt with his name on it and trains with his eyes on the prize. Record every achievement with a photo or video of them in action. Why? To find that magic moment of enthusiasm exposing the sheer joy. It is that moment that will be long forgotten when they get older. These achievements are stepping stones that will show them, a little hard work has its rewards.

  2. School Activities and Achievements

This can be as simple as when they first started reading or writing, or a show and tell project for school, anything that shows them actively learning. This is to instill the idea that life is a series of lessons meant to be continuously learned.

  3. Family Occasion

A big family celebration is never forgotten. My son remembers his birthday as family celebration because we also celebrate our anniversary and my daughters Christening and all this happened on Mother’s Day. It encourages a sense of belonging.

  4. A Memorable Holiday

What is an eventful holiday for your family? Ours is our road trip to Sydney where we were in a 15 hour drive and witness the most amazing sunrise and sunset to end what we called a great family time. Choose the most memorable ones where everyone felt refreshed from the adventure.

  5. Random Videos

This works really well in videos. Just record random footage of your kids
    Eg. Ask a question…

    • What do you want to be when you grow up?
    • Did you enjoy your holidays?
    • What would you like to play?
    • Or just record your daughter or son doing something they love;
Eg. My 9 and 5 year old loves to dance together, or play tag or just having pure fun.

What message do you want to give your 21 year old as they go on their journey into life?

How do you find ways to inspire a journey of adventure where they seek to find their passion?

At 21, your young adult wants to rule the world. Give them a reason to find their purpose and encourage a sense of adventure.

How would you like to set them off into the world?
