Bring Out the Leader in You

“When you have a better connection to yourself, you begin to attract everyone to that power within you and in turn make a difference in Life.” ~ excerpt from The Human Touch

Why is this power so important?

For some it is greed, or status but others pride and the fact that the power makes them feel good about themselves. Searching deeper … when people become obsessed with this power, it feeds their ego.

It is great to see many characters develop into various leaders, especially from humble beginnings. One of the characters Khaleesi, Mother of Dragons, caught my attention since I first started watching. She seemed to be a timid person, bullied by her brother at first but as she faced many challenges, she overcame them and choose to be a leader in her life. She is a compassionate leader and acquired many soldiers who were slaves and freed them. Then said to them that it is of their choice if they wish to follow her, in her battle to regain the kingdoms.

Where am I going with all this?

Do you recognize the leadership qualities within you?

Would you like to develop these qualities and traits?

We are not born leaders but through our experiences in life and the choices we make while in adverse conditions and in dealing with challenges that we develop these character traits.

I always encourage my kids to explore their curiosity because it leads them to break their boundaries and bring out the leader traits in them. Do you recognize any of these traits in you?

  • A Spirit of Adventure and to explore beyond your boundaries;
  • Make a different in life rather than conform to societies train of thoughts;
  • Find courage to visualize and explore your ideas;
  • Act as if you are already living your dreams;
  • Leave a Legacy that will inspire others to follow;
  • Be compassionate to those around you.

I believe we are all born with special gifts and talents to share with the world. Discovering these gifts can take a lifetime of adventures where perhaps we can make a difference.

I strongly believe that we are all leaders in our life. When I was 16, I had a vision of what I didn’t want in my life, I chose a road less travelled and found a direction in my life. It is a lot of hard work, perseverence and there are no short cuts.

But … you know what, that journey from where you were to where you have come to, it is an amazing adventure of discovery.
