How I Unlocked My Creative Spirit

I am so proud and honoured to introduce to you my client and now dear friend Victoria Mallon. Victoria came to me with her project and I assisted her in completing it. She is my first student who is truly talented firstly in photography and now expressing her creativity in her own personalised  Photo Slideshows. Below is Victoria’s post on how she started her journey into creating her own Digital Photo Album. Please take sometime to read it and also to watch her Slideshow and be amazed at how easy it is to learn and create your own family photo slideshows.

12 months ago, I decided to learn how to create Slideshows on DVD. The Microsoft Windows DVD program installed on my PC, failed to impress and I wanted to be a little more creative. I searched online for a program to purchase, without luck as firstly, I had no idea what I was really looking for then most companies I contacted only wanted to create expensive Slideshow DVD’s for me. They were not willing to offer advice. I found the whole experience very frustrating and was considering giving up my search until by chance, I discovered Photoshow on DVD via Google.

What a find! Following lengthy discussions as to what my expectations were Alison (Photoshow) suggested I purchase a program – Proshow Gold – and encouraged me to learn how to create my own Slideshows (even though the Photo business is primarily that of creating Slideshows). I downloaded Proshow Gold to my computer and having limited software knowledge I struggled with the program.

Alison continued to assist me via telephone whenever I encountered difficulty and was generally available when required. Finally without a lot of effort I succeeded.

My first Slideshow Production was of the first year of my friend’s twin boys which I presented to the family as a gift on “the boys” first birthday. It gave me joy to present their story and the family were thrilled with such a personal gift, all in all a resounding success.

The results of learning Slideshows on DVD exceeded my initial expectations and has greatly enhanced the enjoyment of my hobby of photography.

At 60 plus, I was thrilled to master the program which in actuality proved to be quite simple. I have since upgraded to Proshow Producer, allowing further creativity. I completed a 12 min Slideshow of a recent trip to Lake Eyre preserving memories of a once in a lifetime trip, now working on a family wedding and a holiday in Europe. There is no doubt people’s attention span is greatly enhanced by viewing a Photoshow DVD, far surpassing the appeal of a photographic album.
