The Power of One

the_power_of_oneI recently had the privilege and honour to get to know an extraordinary individual. This person touched me with her compassion and kindness, to see outside herself, by helping others in need, while she herself was dealing with the challenges in her own life. And as much as she was clouded by everyone around her who was driven by ego, she stood her ground and believed in her vision for the future. She has my complete respect.

There is a fine line in all we do that separates the why we do this, from the what we do this for. This is our cause in life, our purpose.

In my debut book, that I am currently writing, “The Human Touch”, I talk about The Power of One as I believe that there is this power within us that is so strong and if we tap into it, we can make a difference in life.¬†When you search to understand meaning in your life through your experiences, you become attune to a frequency within you. Your inner guide!

“And when you have a better connection to yourself, you begin to attract everyone to that power within you.” excerpt from The Human Touch.

This can change the world!

I have seen this individual at work and it marvels me to know that her intentions are purely for the benefit of others.¬†There has been much echoes about the “What’s in it for me Syndrome” in the way we conduct ourselves. Everything has an ulterior motive but honestly, our survival in life, is this not just one of that basic need? Is this considered an ulterior motive or a motivation factor that drives us into action? I know many humble families that struggle but they don’t step on others just to gain for themselves, instead they help others who are like them.

What about our need to feel a sense of belonging? There are so many homeless people in Australia and the world who if given the opportunity, do not want to live that way. They have lost their essence to live because they do not feel that sense of belonging.

I was taught very young in life to never step on others for material gain and when you do, you will release an energy around you and become a burden to yourself and to others.

Instead, why not consider this thought. All it takes is one person to sow a thought into the world … but when the power of many come together to become the power of one, there is a great chance or an opportunity to start a change and make a difference is the world.

Do you want to be that change in the world?
