What’s on your Bucket List

“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” ~ Helen Keller

Do you keep a list of things you want to do? Your life adventures!

A bucket list of things you would like to do or experience?

The photo slideshow above is my first lifetime adventure. It was a road trip to Scotland where I was lost and fully connected the beauty of the land. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

I wanted to do 10 things on my adventure list and my aim was to overcome fear instilled from my childhood. I was raised in an aggresive and emotionally unstable environment. Growing up with this constant conditioning, I develped many phobias and behavioral problems.

Hence, my adventure list was my attempt to break these boundaries and overcome my fears.

Back in the middle of 1990s, I wrote a list of things, I had wanted to experience. It was my own bucket list and these were two of them:

  1. Go on a 360 degree roller coaster ride;
  2. Travel alone to a foreign land where no one spoke english.

Both were achieved with great success. I even took photos and created a video of all my adventures and refered to them as “A Blast from my Past”. It has become a memory of the new me as I began to find meaning in my life.

img046-682x1024 (Small)I had many more adventures that helped me overcome my fears and I share more of these stories in my upcoming and soon to be released book of memoirs entitled The Human Touch. My book is the last on my list and I am really very happy to share stories and lessons I learnt along my journey as well as feature 8 poems I wrote in my memoirs.

I had wanted to experience the adrenelin of limitlessness where I embraced my fears and listen to its messages. Yes, I believe fear is an energy of my mind. As I slowly began to break boundaries I created for myself, I experienced life the way I was intended to, become inspired and found meaning in my life. The adventures took me out of my space and awoken my freedom to embrace the gift of curiousity. In other words, I had so much fun and found freedom from my past.

By learning and experiencing something new, it meant I celebrated my moment in time.

Do you have a Bucket List?

Do you have dreams or places you want to visit or experience? Do you have something that you would like to learn to do? I had a teenage dream of sewing my own dress and many years later, I sewed my first dress. My mother guided me with this project and it was worth it. Why not consider doing something you have never done in your life. Why? Because along the way you will discover or learn something special about yourself.

Take Heaps of Photos

Make sure you take heaps of photos when you go on any kind of adventure. Life can be a roller coaster ride but if you have recorded photo memories, you will be able to reignite those memories of your achievements.

Your Moment in Time

Wouldn’t you like to go on an adventure? You don’t have to travel the world to do this. But consider this thought, envision going for a walk in the forest or fishing. Go on a roller coaster ride or walk in the rain; these are a different type of adventure into self-discovery.

Have fun! Make it the best times of your life.

Please do share your adventures with me as I would love to hear them.
