Why Childhood Moments are Precious

What were your most happiest moment in your childhood?

Or how does it feel to see your child talks about their experiences or feelings?

Better yet, did it make you cry?

I cry everytime I see my children happy or doing something unusual or enjoying themselves, especially when they share their proudest moments with me.

As much as achievements are precious times of growth, so are little moments of crazy fun or just doing something exciting to them.

If we keep pushing our children in competitions and doing well in school or other activities, they lose their sense of self.

Don’t get me wrong, a good competion motivates action and growth but we must not forget the inspiration that touches a gentle soul especially when it impacts their emotions.

Sometimes taking a step back and seeing glimpses of these joyful moments show growth in the most unusual way.

Why Childhood Stories are Treasures

IMG_0832 (Small)Last Sunday, my son was chosen to carry the children’s bible and lead the little ones to Sunday school. My daughter stood by his side and both were very solumn because they felt special. For me, it was my proudest moment simply because my faith is the most important aspect influencing my core values of being honest and showing respect. What suprised me later was what he said, “Mummy, I am so proud of what I did today.”¬†Although that meant a lot to me, for him I think it meant so much more.

He was proud and felt humbled to be chosen for this very special task. I took a photo to mark this special moment for me and for him to remember because within a blink of an eye, our children will forget all of it when they are older.

My Passion for Stories of Life

I love being around my family and creating life videos, listening to music, reading and cooking. It relaxes me and is very therapeutic. But within these are stories of my life and what I love to do.

What is your story? Photos or videos that show the beginning of your life also show what contributed to your growth and experience.

They show you as a hero steering your life to become the person you are today. Our photos capture those joys, sadness and excitement of our life and we often forget them. Memories of childhood can show glimpses of your passion. What is the one thing you did that you were proud of? Today choose to remember moments that made you smile, listen to your favourite music and look at your old photos.

Please put some time aside to preserve these special moments because they are priceless treasures that tell your stories of life.

If my story resonated with you, please leave a comment below.
